New Hampshire Antiques Week
Unique Pie Safe With Stencil Work Decoration, c. 1830s
Timeless Treats & Relics is pleased to announce its participation in two of New England's most celebrated events during New Hampshire Antiques Week, bringing an exceptional selection of museum-quality antiques, fine art, Americana, and decorative arts to collectors from across the country.
The week begins at the Deerfield Antique Show, presented by the Gurley family, on Monday, August 3, in Deerfield, New Hampshire. Timeless Treats & Relics will then exhibit at the Antiques in Manchester Collectors Fair on Wednesday and Thursday, August 5–6, in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Among the highlights making the trip to New Hampshire is an outstanding pie safe, dating to the 1830s, featuring exceptional original stencil decoration. Furniture collectors will also find an impressive orange flame-painted Pennsylvania blanket chest from the renowned collection of Charles A. Wallach; a refined period Sheraton bowed-front chest of drawers; a striking Queen Anne red-painted tall blanket chest, circa 1750; and an elaborately carved Jacobean settle, dating to approximately 1680.
Fine art collectors will have the opportunity to acquire several distinguished paintings from the collection of Ruth Graham, whose collection focused on early European paintings acquired through major London auction houses including Christie's and Bonhams. Featured works include Adriaen Cornelisz. Beeldemaker's Portrait of a Young Lady and Hound; a compelling German School Portrait of a Nobleman, circa 1620; and Marmaduke Cradock's Birds in a Landscape, an elegant example by one of England's foremost late seventeenth-century sporting and still-life painters.
Additional offerings include a substantial collection of American stoneware, featuring desirable examples from Hartford, Connecticut, and New York potteries, alongside a diverse assortment of early American furniture, folk art, decorative accessories, and fresh estate acquisitions gathered throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic.
